205 Sugar Pine Glenbrook, Nevada

Imagine enjoying a beautiful Lake Tahoe sunset over the snow capped mountains from your covered deck or from the warmth of your cozy fireplace in your spacious living room. A truly special setting for friends and family to gather. Or simply walk across the street to enjoy the private gated community pier, pavilion, & sandy beach. During the summer, take a swim or grab your stand up paddle board from the storage area & be on the water in no time. The community of Lakeridge, Nevada is a special place. Memories are waiting to be made here. Breathe the fresh mountain air and get ready for the good life.

The community pier with pavilion affords some of the most spectacular views of Cave Rock, Lake Tahoe, gorgeous sunrises, and outstanding sunsets; creating a fantastic setting for small parties, barbecues, or simply enjoying Tahoe life. Then, return to your Tahoe retreat.

As you step out to your covered front porch, there are only 2 steps to navigate to the entry. The large mud room provides plenty of space to shed those snow covered boots and jackets after a day on the mountain. The first master bedroom is located on the entry level and hosts an en-suite bath. The shower plumbed and ready for the installation of a spa style steam shower. A sliding glass door from the master provides access to a lake view deck. Hardwood floors throughout this level lead into the dining and living room areas. Two more large sliding glass doors lead out to the two sizeable lake view decks. Owners have plans drawn to enclose the large deck above the garage in glass to create a multi-season indoor/outdoor space. Large windows throughout the living room provide views from inside the home as well. Vaulted ceilings, open beams, and a substantial wood burning fireplace create a comfortable open and airy space to gather. The dining area is separated from the living area by the fireplace, creating some definition of space while still being open concept. There is a second bedroom and full bath on the entry level. Downstairs hosts a large game room with pinball machine, soft hot tub, and second master bedroom complete with a fireplace and en-suite bath. The garage is off the game room, and even has a projector for watching movies. There is plenty of parking, including enough room for your RV, or 6-8 cars. The corner lot has a flat lawn area and full sprinklers, which is uncommon in this mountainous neighborhood. In the event you should lose power, the property is set up for a back up generator to keep the newer forced air heating system and lights on. Owners will sell mostly furnished, and will even consider leaving some of the numerous nods to John Wayne throughout the home if desired.

Additionally, in Nevada there are fewer taxes and a much lower tax burden than most other states. That’s why Nevada is known as a top tax haven. Take advantage of some of Nevada tax benefits which include lower property taxes, and no personal or corporate income taxes taxes.

Festival of Trees and Lights at Montbleu

Festival of Trees and Lights at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa

Ring in the holiday spirit at Barton Health’s 9th annual Festival of Trees & Lights. The winter celebration features events and entertainment starts Thursday, November 30 and continues through Sunday, December 3 at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.

“The Festival of Trees & Lights provides a warm and family-friendly atmosphere to inspire people to get into the spirit of holiday giving,” says Kindle Craig, the director of the Barton Foundation. “All the money raised goes back into the community and supports health and wellness programs.”

Join the community in viewing a dozen decorated Christmas trees and wreaths and décor; enjoy local entertainment; visit Santa Claus and the Teddy Bear Hospital; and have the opportunity to bid on unique holiday items and décor in the silent auction. Trips, getaways, sports and entertainment items will also be raffled off — all for an amazing annual cause that supports our community’s health. This year proceeds from the Festival and the Gala Fund a Dream Appeal will once again benefit Barton Health’s Cancer Wellness Program.

Children and adults of all ages can support the cause and attend the Festival. Barton Foundation volunteers and staff transform MontBleu’s Convention Center into a holiday paradise with trees and wreaths decorated by local artists and schoolchildren. Attendees can enjoy the Teddy Bear Hospital, a kids’ craft area, a Santa photo session, a comprehensive raffle, and a full lineup of live entertainment.

In addition, special events are featured throughout the Festival.  Seniors, ages 55 and over, can attend the Senior Stroll at no cost on Thursday from 2 p.m .to 4 p.m. Children and their families can attend the Teddy Bear Brunch on Sunday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Special events do sell out and it is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance.
