The Lake Tahoe Keys neighborhood is home to the Lake Tahoe Keys Marina and the thousands of boats, lakefront and lake access properties that lie within. This neighborhood is an extremely popular area for second homeowners as well as full time residents. With immediate water access from nearly every home this is a boaters dream location. Lighthouse Shores is a gated community within the neighborhood—containing many luxurious, high-end properties with wide beaches and the lake as your backyard. Many homes have breathtaking views of both the mountains and the lake, while still being centrally located to many activities including hiking, biking, boating and more. For the nighttime adventure seekers, there are many activities all within close proximity including the area casino corridor just 4 miles away. At the entrance to the Keys is Sierra Athletic Club, and at the marina is the Fresh Ketch Restaurant which is a great place to sit outside and watch people launch their boats in the summer
The Tahoe Keys Homeowners Association membership comes with access to both an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis and volleyball courts, homeowners beach and pier, and several parks. This neighborhood is an ideal area for boat owners because nearly all of the lake accessible homes have rights to one or multiple dock slips right out their back door. Kayaker’s and Stand Up Paddle Boarders can launch from their backyard to access the many Keys channels, or head out onto Lake Tahoe itself. You will occasionally see our local outrigger canoe club, Kawai’Ulu ‘O Tahoe, practicing in the channels. If you see them, be sure to wish them a warm aloha!
